Discover the Açai

For centuries, the people of the Amazon have revered the açai berry (pronounced "ah-sigh-ee") for its unique nutritional properties. Their tribal healers used açai to promote health and longevity, and their warriors consumed it as a source of strength, energy and vitality.

The açai is a fruit from the Açai Palm and is found mostly in the Amazon floodplains and uplands. The palm has a thick trunk, sometimes slightly curved, which averages 15-20 meters tall. The ripe açai berry is black-violet in color and is approximately 12-15 mm in diameter and has a berry and chocolate-like flavor.
